How Did I Accumulate All This Stuff?!
The number one complaint that I hear from every homeowner whenever they’re packing up to move is, “My gosh, how did we accumulate so much stuff? I will never do this again.”
And let me just say, myself included.
The home that we lived in the longest—14 years—was where our kids were born and raised. Not physically born there, but we brought them home, and they were raised for the most part there.
And when we packed up to move, my husband and I had a big realization.
There’s no way we’re going to accumulate this much stuff. No way. We’re not doing it again.
I mean, it was all just stuff.
And every single homeowner, when they go to pack up their stuff, says the exact same thing.
And I want to know: if you were somebody who, when you moved, purged—did you maintain that for years down the road?
Or did you move again and do the same thing all over? Was it Groundhog Day again, and you went, “Oh my gosh, no way. I’m accumulating this much stuff again”?
I’m curious about your thoughts.
